Gabion Mattress

KK Netting Industries’ Gabion Mattresses, commonly known as Reno Mattresses, are prefabricated wire mesh containers with low thickness (generally 0.15m–0.30m) compared to their length and width. They are divided into multiple compartments by diaphragms to prevent stone migration and ensure even distribution. Once filled with stones, the gabion mattress forms a monolithic, flexible, and permeable structure that adapts to ground settlement and dissipates hydraulic energy.

Our mattresses are manufactured using double-twisted hexagonal mesh made from hot-dip galvanized iron wire, with optional PVC or Zn-Al (Galfan) coating for extra protection in aggressive environments such as seawater or high-salinity soils. This ensures superior durability against corrosion and long-term performance in river training, canal lining, shoreline protection, and erosion control projects.

Advantages include excellent flexibility, resistance to unraveling even if cut, permeability to water, natural integration with vegetation, and cost-effectiveness compared to rigid concrete structures. KK Netting Industries’ gabion mattresses are widely used by contractors, government agencies, and environmental engineers for hydraulic works, scour protection, and slope stabilization.

Available in standard dimensions (as per ASTM/EN/IS standards) or custom sizes, our gabion mattresses are supplied flat-packed for easy handling and quick installation at site.
